Spectacular large shrub or small tree valued for its beautiful large tulip-shaped blooms, purplish-pink with white interior in late winter into early spring. Great garden specimen; use it to anchor shrub beds. Deciduous. Full sun. Moderate grower to 20 to 25 feet tall and wide, smaller as a shrub.

For a formal appearance, shear annually after flowering. Shipped as a potted five gallon plant with its original soil. Current plant height about 4 feet tall. Hardy to USDA zone 5.
