Aucuba japonica 'Crotonifolia' - aukuba japonská

This evergreen shrub is a commonly known favourite especially in Britain. The first specimen was brought to Europe in 1783, and has been sought after ever since for its beautifully varigated/golden-spotted leaves. Should the top leaves be damaged after winter, just get rid of them in the spring, or cut back a few cms of the branches.

The shrub will thrive again and will become even denser. It does best in shade or semi-shade, in normal to acidic soil. Needs a lot of moisture.
