Leopard's-bane may be used in sunny areas in any ordinary garden soil. The yellow flowers appear in May and may be cut for arrangements. The plants are shallow rooted and 18 to 30 inches tall. Planting may be done in spring or autumn. Propagation is by division after flowering, in spring, or in October. Space the plants 12 to 15 inches apart.
