
Sorghum bicolor - Broom Corn
Sorghum bicolor var. technicum; 5-6 ft. Tender Annual; Lovely sprays of broomlike tops fill with red seeds at maturity. Tie several together for a terrific broom. Great in dried flower arrangements. Excellent forage for birds. Easy to grow. Direct seed in garden 4-6 seeds per foot when all danger of frost has passed. Fertilize soil well with mature compost. Harvest at peak of bloom.
