Astragalus membranacous - Huang qi , yellow leader

Classed as one of the superior tonic roots in traditional Chinese medicine and known as Huang Qi, it is used for poor appetite, fatigue and cold. This sprawling plant blooms with light yellow flowers similar to a pea. Likes deep, sandy, well-drained soil.
