Tricyrtis 'Golden leopard' Family: Liliaceae Origin: The species is native to Japan. Forming a nice patch over time, Toad Lily is prized for its ability to bloom in shade and for its exotic-looking flowers that resemble orchids. The large, glossy green leaves of Tricyrtis. Prefers part-shade to shade, especially in area with very hot summers. Requires moist, well-drained soil that doesn't get dried out. Protect young plants from very cold, wet soil in winter. For the sunny or lightly shaded border. Large groups are most effective.
