Anaphalis margaritacea - Pearly Everlasting

luffy White Color Lasts for Months! Clusters of small, airy white blooms with yellow centers are fabulous for drying! The unsung hero of many a beautiful bouquet and centerpiece, Pearly Everlasting is a miniature treasure in the garden and vase. A member of the Daisy family, its tiny, fluffy blooms of purest white (with a butter-yellow central disc) add both soft texture and clean contrasting color to any arrangement. And as an Everlasting, it may be used as is or dyed to any desired shade! Easy to grow in light, well-drained soil receiving full sun, this plant grows about 2 feet tall and blooms in mid- to late summer, holding its flowers in charming nosegays above grasslike foliage.

To dry, simply cut the stem at desired height, remove any foliage, and hang the branch upside-down in a well-ventilated, dry location. Best cut just as the blooms begin to open. Plant in sun or part shade. May tolerate deeper shade conditions. Native Plant. Zones 3-8.
