Monarda didyma 'Panorama Red Shades' - Bee Balm, Beebalm

Monarda didyma 'Panorama Red Shades' - Bee Balm, Beebalm

Both the flowers and the foliage are fragrant! The First Separate Monarda Color. Super resistance to Powdery Mildew! At last, a single-color Bee Balm that will come true from seed! Red Shades wowed us in grower trials, both with its ultra-colorful, frizzy 1 1/4- to 1 3/4-inch blooms and its great resistance to Powdery Mildew!

Both the flowers and the foliage boast a spicy, summery scent, and each plant bears up to 20 long stems! Nothing brings in the butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees like Monarda, and these bright flowers bloom profusely in midsummer on vigorous, bushy 2- to 4-foot plants. The heavenly fragrance will keep you out in the garden to enjoy all the wildlife, too! Best in consistently moist soil receiving full sun or afternoon shade, this Bee Balm is a trouble-free joy for garden and vase. Resist the temptation to crowd plants too closely--they will spread of their own accord soon enough! An excellent cut flower, they are also a great choice for Northern gardens.
